set up filter ok.seems to be hardly any water pumping out.how strong is the water flow or how strong should it be?water seems to be going through filter ok,just very weak

At the spot where the water comes in goes out is a device with which you can change the force of the water flow.

As far as I remember it should be down to have the strongest current.

Ahm, whas there been water in teh canister when you installed it to the tank?? There is some pumping device which helps getting the filter started.

What size tank is it on? You may need to add a HOB for some extra filtration, surface agitation, and extra flow.

have seperate filter and powerhead.movement is fine.just seems very weak coming from fluval flow jets.190litre tank

I had the same problem with mine, I unplugged it, let alot of water drain into the canister and then pumped a few times, then plugged in. It seems to be alot of water coming out now.
