Recently I've noticed two of my brichardi's getting into a shell together. The larger one of the two is often very aggressive toward the other fish except the smaller one he's been hanging around, although he is probably the most docile and sweetest cichlid I've ever kept. Is it possible that they're planning on mating? How should I handle this, given the small tank size (20g long, 4 brichardi)? Thanks!
