Here are some photos of my healed black moor. It was interesting to see the other goldies come around and seem to remember the Black moor, and get reaquainted.

The only thing I am wondering about is that the BM's gill covers do not really cover anything they have been like that for quite some time?

Congradulations on your beautiful moor's recovery! I bet your fishies had a welcome home party for him lol.

Sad about his gill covers...were they like that when you first got him or did they vanish later?

They vanished later, never ran into this problem before. Oh boy there was a big reunion in the tank as well. All the goldies were hovering around him the first day rubbing onhim and such.

Hmmm how odd. Can't say as I know why that happened. Hopefully they'll grow back...? Sorry I can't give any help as to that...I hear that missing gill covers can cause breathing concerns later in the goldfish's life; hopefully you won't run into that.

And omg thats so adorable!!!! Goldies have such personality and can be so affectionate. :1luvu:

We had a goldie that died and my big Gold one acted like it missed it.

Awwww sad day. I've had a similar experience...

One time I got this goldfish that was on the brink of death because of stress and oxygen loss and I put it in the tank with my other goldie and my other goldie saved its life! She started nudging him and wrapping herself around him and swam by his side all the time. He wouldn't have gotten better if she hadn't helped I've never seen anything like it before just an interesting little story.
