I will hopefully start working on the new forum software this weekend and wonder if any of you would be willing to Beta test it?

Nothing is different here. I will start working on it this weekend and will hopefully give you two and however else might be willing to do it an Link where you can try the new forum. I will than and only than move the forum here and import the old posts etc to it.
