Woke up this morning to see the ornate wood turtles doing it. A good start of the day. Now I just have to wait and see if I get any babies. And how many more females might be in the mood.

Here is one. Most likely of a female. Don´t remember for sure. I can post more pics later today if you want with different turtles of different sizes. I might be able to post a couple of pics of other species as well but only if they behave ;-)

got 21 in an attempt to breed them. 6 of which is saved from the constructionn site while building my house.

True. Allthough the native population are in no need of the help. They are extremly common here. Haven´t made an inventory (yet) but would suprise if the number under 100 per acre of swamp.

Catchy title for this thread, helps it stand out from the crowd! It's not everyday I can mentally connect romance and coconut shells in a dryer... nope I do believe life, or at least mornings, will never be the same! :hmm3grin2orange:
Hope you have a nice crop of new turtles soon! Love to see some baby shots if it all works out for the lovebirds!
Pretty turtles! Good to know they're in the mood and I hope the storks get busy soon!

We´ll see. They are supposed to lay up to 4 eggs 2-3 times a year.
