algea invasion

i just bought a snail from none other than petco and now 5 of my fish have died and my tank walls are covered in algea overnight!!!!!

If 5 fish died you probably have ammonia in your tank. Was the tank cycled or are you cycled with fish in the tank? Do some water changes.

Sorry to hear that, but I doubt the snail is at fault for the fish deaths. Definitely not at fault for algae. As Hobbs said, what are your water parameters?

is you tank in direct sunlight? That could explain the algae bloom

its not the snails fault. even though theyre messy, they couldnt have produced extreme ammonia overnight.

Algae can pop out of nowhere. where is your tank placed?
