Say you had a 20 gallon, well filtered, pea gravel bottom tank. It's one of those standard 20 gallons not a long and not a tall. Right now it has a single cory catfish in it and will be lightly planted. What would you put in it?

I've got a ram and cory tank and I love it! I have a pair of bolivians and a pair of germans, with a pair of peppered corys. If I had 20 gallons, I might just add 1 more cory.

Sounds pretty, got any pictures? So far this is my stocking idea: 8-9 harlequin rasboras and 3 cories.

Hm, you guys like cories haha. I like the idea of neons, but I love the rasboras.

I would turn it into a shrimp tank, but I have become overly fascinated with them.
If I could find these guys I would put them in there. Blue tiger shrimp.

I would go with cocoas suggestion. My neighbor has that in a 10 gallon, with only 5 neons and 2 corys. Only temporary. I sold him my old 29 gallon, and he is going to move them into the 29.
It really is a very nice community.

LOVE corys! Panda corys to be more specific. If I had a bigger tank I'd have a much bigger shoal of them. They are so cool to watch.
HAHA! I like the "idea" of neons too but I've heard so many people say "buy twice as many as you want cuz half won't make the transition to your tank" that I'm keeping them as only an idea! LOL
I've been thinking that glass fish would be cool and maybe some dwarf gouramies. If I get a 20g long tank someday I'll be getting a few more small species to make a nice community.

LOVE corys!
Big ole ditto to that one! I think corys should be in every tank, provided they dont become food. The panda corys i see here are really neat looking, but they are like 5 dollars a peice. The most active corys i have ever seen are albinos. I have them in my 55 and i love the little suckers.

Pandas are $7 here and there's only one place in town you can buy them and they are usually out. I bought their last 2 a few weeks ago and I'm waiting to get 2 more.

corys are great. They bottom feed and clean well. 10 corys and 2 killies are the last things i need for my 55g
