We here so much about Fluorite and Eco-Complete. Anyone tried the FloraMax. I like the color better than fluorite for sure.

Hobbs,
I have never heard of it so I did some research on it. It turns out it is made by the same people as eco-complete. Here is their website.
carib Sea (http://www.caribsea.com/pages/products/planted_aquar.html)
A few things that I was able to pick out on the manufactures website. It has a larger grain size than eco complete, which means that it will be harder for small plants to spread.
The biggest difference is that on the site it lists eco-complete as containing 25 different minerals and nutrients, but doesn't list any for the floramax. It does say that it contains iron.
It appears to be a larger eco-complete without the nutrients added. It probably would work and would hold nutrients very well, but more fertilization would be required than if you used eco-complete.
It could be worth a try, but I think in the end you get what you pay for.
