View Full Version : A tall, broadleafed, low-light plant?

I'm looking for one last plant to complete my planted community tank. I know what I want it to be like, but I don't know what plant fits the requirements in my head. Here's what I'm looking for:

Something that grows tall. It's meant to be a back-of-tank, substrate to waterline sort of plant.
Something that can grow in low-light conditions. Have 36W of fluoroescent light in a 29G tank, and the plant in question will be going in a back corner.
Something that does well without needing a lot of added nutrients or CO2. I don't currently fertilize with anything. I was using Excel until I found out it was killing my Elodea.
Something with broad, flat leaves.

Vals fit almost all of that description, except everything I read says they need medium light or better, which I don't really have.
