My MTS had got me itching to get a bigger tank. Please somebody stop me! Pretty sure that my DH will do that but I can at least take a flight of fancy for a while, right?

I'm thinking about one of the low, long tanks in either 20 or 30g to expand the community I already have in my 10g so that I could actually have some shoals of fish. Right now its at 3 guppies, 1 lonely white cloud, 2 Oto cats and 2 Panda Corys. What I'd love to do is get more Pandas and maybe some glass fish but the 10g is just too small. I like small, beginner fish and I want to keep it that way. If and that's a BIG if I get another larger tank I will have to get rid of one of the smaller ones. The maintenance and expense would be too much for me with 4 tanks.

Anybody have stocking suggestions for me? Or suggestions for the 10g that might make me happy enough to avoid buying another tank???

I love the 20 gallon longs! I look at them everything I go to the store and fight the urge myself to get it. One would fit very nicely atop my dresser!

I'm sorry, but I'm not going to be able to help talk you out of buying a new tank. I just bought a new 20g long and I'm cycling it. It's SO exciting. If you have an extra $80 laying around I'd say go for it!:ssmile: I'm doing an all black setup.

The panda corys are a really fun fish! I have a small school of five in my 12G tank. Assuming you have good filtration and you do frequent water changes, you could easily add some more pandas to your tank. You are pretty lightly stocked.

I also really like the 20g longs. If I didn't have to change the light fixture, I would switch from my 15g to a 20g long.

Funny you should say that Coach! I was JUST at the LFS to see if they have any more pandas but unfortunately they are out right now. I was going to buy 1 more but I think I'll get 2!

I guess I have good filtration...I have a Whisper 10 that came with the tank. It seems to crank out the water. I do keep up with my water quality too. I've been doing weekly PWCs to keep Nitrates below 20. Maybe instead of getting a new tank I should get 2 more pandas and then work on replacing my fake plants with real ones. That would give me a project that might stave off the MTS.

lol, probably alot. Ive been trying to get rid of the 20g long for a long time, noone wants it. 3 toads can live in a 10g, so if i can get rid of the long tank i get more room

I don't know, the 20 longs are cool, but I am about to get my second 40 long. Super cool size. MTS STRIKES AGAIN! :wink2:
