They're both pretty common in fish stores. If the fish store near you doesn't usually stock them, just let them know you're interested and see if they can order them. It shouldn't be difficult for them.
MTS are so prolific that most pet stores will give them away for free, once they've got them. My LFS just gave me a half-dozen from one of their tanks to start me off.

Trupet snails: Find a store that has them and just ask them to grab you a few. Most of the time these snails are considered a "pest" species and show up in the tanks unwanted, so I assume you can get them for free.
African dwarf frogs: they generally range from $3-$7 bucks a pop, at least in my area. Very cool pet to have, the males actually croak. Some of them can be a little on the dumb side, and with bad eyesight as well, feeding can be an issue. There is one male i have that can't hunt to save his life and only manages to eat when I throw in a fresh batch of live black worms. The blackworms halfway bury themselves under the gravel after about half an hour and he's the only one of the group I have that can't manage to snag them once they bury. Males will have a pinkish/whitish bump near their "armpit" on both sides of their body. These guys are a little social so try to get a male and a couple of females.

I meant african dwarf clawed frogs but yes african dwarf frogs are pretty interesting pets... I used to feed mine freeze dried bloodworms using a tweezers and placing them next to his face... of course i washed my hands before and after and sterilized the designated ADF tweezers after every use.
