Mama ninja molted for the first time (while I've had her) no more than about 2 weeks ago. Last night she molted again! Is it common to have one molt so fast after a previous one?

Its a growing thing.
They need to shed in order to keep growing.

Well, I knew that... I just read up on them and didn't find anything about them molting so often. Guess it's just super healthy? thumbs2:

It sounds like its doing great. What type of cray is it?
How big is the tank?
What are you feeding it?

Hmm... not sure what species of Cray it is, was labeled "vanilla crayfish" ('cause she's white). 20L tank and I feed her HBH Crab and Lobster Bites about 2-3 times per day, along with molly food that has sunk to the bottom, I'm sure. Oh, and she ate my beautiful peacock gudgeon about 3 days before she molted... ugh. Well-fed little booger.

I suppose if you're super good at identifying the species, There's a pic of her on the above thread.

I never claimed that!lol:hmm3grin2orange:
I was just curious as it wasn't mentioned.
Its a real nice crayfish. The fact that it ate your fish may be part of the reason for the rapid growth but there are may also be many other reasons for it.
Good diet ,clean water and room to move and grow will always help a fish or invert grow to their maximum potential.thumbs2:

i have 4 crayfish of some kind .my kid came home from grandmas and said look at my new pets. they molt every 2 weeks on average and they seem to molt in the same order every time . so my guess is that about the norm
