Hey, i got 6 guppies and 2 mollies from my pet shop a few hours ago (5 or 6hours), they all seem fine APART from one guppy which was laying at the bottom dead! I don't know how he died as all the others seem happy - Although i did notice one of them which i think was the dead one, was kind of apart from the group, a loner you may say.. His fins where pretty rotted off when i found him, but they where fine when i got him i think. So Do fins rot that quick after death or do you think the rest of the group killed him. I know they are peaceful fish, but there are always an odd-one-out in society.
What do you think it could be?

He could have been on his way out when you bought him. What are your water parameters? How many fish total do you have in the tank? Is this the same tank that is still cycling? Did you acclimate them to the tank water or just dump them in?

Well i left them in the bag for 20 mins or so, then put them all in, i think its a male, one with the multicoloured fin.
0 ammonia, same tank, 20% water changes every 2 days.
I looked up the forum, seems to me they die easily, although alot of sites say they are hardy, but they look so delicate.
Your right, it cold have been starting to die anyways, or itcould have been the shock of the acclimation period, do they tend to die during that time?

What type of test kit are you using?
How long ago did you start to cycle the tank?
If its not cycled then 20% is not enough. You need to do at least 50% at a time.Use dechlorinator as well.
Get yourself a good bacteria boost too,Tetra safe start works as well as Stability.
You should also read up on drip acclimation. It works great.

And what are your other parameters? Nitrites, Nitrates, PH
If all you're testing for in ammonia, then you have no idea of what your tank is doing.
Floating the bag only adjusts to the water temp. You should read up on drip acclimation. This will allow your fish to "slowly" adapt to your water conditions.
And don't pour the water from the bag into your tank.

+3 Dripping is the way to go. Even if you do hurry it along, it is still much less intense than the open and dump method.

Do you test for Nitrites and Nitrates?
How do you know that your tank is cycled?

Not surprised.... you probably have a nitrite spike going.
When was your last WC?
What are your Nitrite and Nitrate readings?
If you refuse to post these things, there's not much anyone here can do to help you.
And please stop buying fish until you're sure your tank is cycled.
