dempsay hatch keep disappearing

My male and female i have had for a year now. The first hatch as a newbie went well i still have 4 from the first hatch.My problem is i they have had 6 hatches since,they hatch,she hides them and i dont see them anymore? They are in a 40 gallon tank that i change the water 2 times a week and i feed them well....good food.Can someone with better experiance why they keep disappearing??????????? PS i shold mention when i clean the tank i am careful with the siphon hose and check the waste water.:22:

you say you clean the tank twice a week. Are you stressing the parents at all when you are messing with that siphon? If you bother parent fish too much they will sometimes eat the babies. I suggest maybe trying to skip a cleaning next time they hatch and see what happens.
