I am lodging a sort of formal complaint here and NOW!!!!

You see that design on the footer of every page ...

on the right side is a neat looking bugger - right??

WHY isn't it in the tropical fish profiles?

That is a Gymnothorax Tile eel which is also called (some what incorrectly so)
a Fresh Water Eel ...

if you want a photo of a couple - I would gladly donate one to the cause! :wink2:

As managment, I guess you mean the Administrator and his staff, As a moderator, I feel the duty to forward your complaint to the administrator, I am no expert on matter's like this, I was chosen as a moderator to help keep an eye on spam etc, in a global timespan.

I am sure William will look into this ASAP, and in his defence, I am sure you will not find ANY forum on the internet, without flaw's.

We do our best to keep this forum as accurate and as safe as possible, your complaint has been forwarded to the administrator.

:22: Cool! :thumb:

FYI: I am bigger than the south end of a north bound mule and just felt like harassing someone on the account that I am here and wanted to!

Thanks for the quick response ....

also; If I post something that sounds irritating - try to look for some off tilt humor in it

... I am proficient at cultivating bizarre perceptions just to make people actually stop and think :c7:

I hope the quick response, also makes you feel safe in your use of the forum, William has done his best to make this a globally friendly forum, to take control of spam and complaints (though in my 9 months here I have seen very few) ASAP.

By the way, ask anyone on here, the ole crack has a slight sense of humor :28: . LOL

But if a formal complaint is put in, all jokes aside, I am sure any of Williams staff will do there job for the forum by trying to rectify it.

After reading your post more thorouly, I see what you are getting at now and I may have jumped the gun.
If you can write an accurate profile on this or any other species of fish, feel free to submit them to the administrator (William) with pic's if possible, you can look him up in the members directory and PM him about it yourself.

I apoligize if I got your initial post wrong, but your heading, and blunt way of putting it confused me I think.

(3 lashes with the with the wet end of an oscar for crack) LOL

OK puddlekeeper......now I have a complaint. Your picture is on the left side not the right. TA_DA

There is only room for so many entries that can be posted and with thousands of fish, guess there wasn't any room for your handsome fella's.

They are some beauties, tho. :)

okay - since I got the attention of the moderators

There seems to be a glitch in the forum email system.

Just to set the record in the right track

I am the admin for my own club's photo forum and a political forum - so I have a good understanding on how things work.

With that said:
No matter what I do - I can NOT get email notification (which is set to instant notification) when threads are responded to ... any advice?

It is set to "Instant email notification" and my email address is correct.

Also; several other aquarium forums are getting through on the same email address.

That may not be an enabled option that's been set. I just set mine to receive emails to see if mine works.

Hi Everyone
Sorry for the late reply. I have a dual eye infection so I haven't spend any time at the computer. Figures I should catch something leaving the tropics ;-)

The picture on the right side of the footer is a common or atlantic eel. It is not present among the profiles because it isn't suitable for tropical aquariums. However I will look into adding a profile none the less.

The email problem might be a result of a security setting the server is using, I will look into it.

I would just like to point out that the eel on the footer graphic looks similar to that of a long-fin (Anguilla dieffenbachii) or short-fin (Anguilla australis) eel. Its head looks nothing like that of the Gymnothorax Tile eel

just thought i'd be technical :c7:
