What are Good Tank Mates?

Ok so i have a 20 gallon aquarium with 3 peppered corys, a sunburst platy, and a dwarf gourami-(regretfully). So i was wondering if tetras would nip at the gourami? What tetras would be good. And i don't want neon or cardinal tetras.

You could do a couple more corys. Glo lights, lemons, pristellas, rummy noses would all be nice.

tetras that fit the bill include: red eye, pristella, rummy nose, lemon, emporer,

possibles: bleeding heart,black skirt, bounas ares, congo

problems: serpa-these nip fins

there are also multiple rasboras to choose from. good luck

What? No cardinals? No tank is complete without a school of cardinal tetras! They are so cute! They change colour while maturing! The females look so huge compared to the males. But if you really don't want cardinals I guess you could always get golden neon tetras. I'm thinking of getting some after my new tank is ready. You could get black neon tetras and green neon tetras too.

I'd get 3 more peppered corries before you stock anything else.

I have ember tetras, and they stay small (about an inch) so you can get a little more than with other tetras. I keep them with a betta, and they aren't nippy at all.
