Ya know, from time to time, one of my fish will do something that kinda shocks me a little. For some reason, my blue acara start eating the plants today. He’s never done that before. You would swear that I never feed him.

I just put in a cryptocoryne undulate today and for some reason, he just started to nibble on it. Perhaps it was just that flavour that he was looking for. As I went to grab my camera to take pic, he moved on to nibbling on the small java fern near by.

For my favourite fish, he is really starting to push his luck ! :hmm3grin2orange:

You were lucky you were able to grow some plants in that tank at all!lol
Sorry to hear it. Maybe there is something you can add to its diet that will help keep him satisfied enough to not eat the plants.
Sounded good anyway!lol

Maybe he is growing up and realizes that veggies are good for hmi?

Ya know, first it was my severums eating the cucumber that put in for the plecos, which by the way I now have to put in two pcs so the plecos actual get some, and now the acara is munching on the plants.

It makes want to watch them even more to see what they are going to do next :hmm3grin2orange:

Fish can be so funny sometimes. I was doing a WC last weekend and I dropped the siphon in the tank. It sunk. The smaller of my 2 baby clown loaches swam half way up the tubing on the siphon. He swam out but I just found it kind of amusing.
