How should I go about planting amazon swords and possibly anubias also is co2 needed for these types of plants?

Co2 is not really necessary for either, especially the anubias, but I'm sure it would benefit them. To plant the swords, you basically just shove the stem and roots down into the gravel while trying not to damage it too badly. I normally make a little divet in the gravel then push it down a little bit, then I just brush the gravel back over it to keep it in place. Cutting the roots to about an inch to an inch and half will help stimulate new root growth to help it plant itself in quicker. With the anubias, you'll just want to tie it to something or just kind of situate it where it'll sit somewhere visually appealing and let it do its thing. Just make sure you don't bury the rhizome and there's not much more you need to worry about.

Just to add to what was already said amazon swords are heavy root feeders so root fertilizer tabs would be good.
