I have 90 gallon tank with: Java fern, moss balls, a onion plant, and two Luteat Cryptocoryne walkeri plants. My lights are one timer for 11 hours / day

My one light is no longer safe to use so (switch shorted out) so I need to replace it. I’ve got a extra light fixture to use so here ‘s what I was thinking of using: one 48 inch T5 fixture with two 28 watt bulbs @ 6700K and one 36 T5 fixture with two 21 watt bulbs @ 10,000K,

That would give me a total of just over 1 watt per gallon and some were between 6700 and 10,000K

I’m a little concerned the one fixture with the 10,000K might be too much. I do like the look of it though. Would lighting be OK for my plants and tank ???

That lighting should be fine for those plants. I do not see it being too much.

I'll second that. Your plants should do fine. And I like the look of mixing those two K ratings.

Thanks Skip

I can be hard to find good info on K ratings and plants sometimes.

It's good to know I can always get good advice here !!!
