Help! Recently my serpae tetra has gotten it's fins nipped pretty bad by the other serpaes. That's what they do all the time, but about 15 minutes, I found the tetra without a tail fin and still being being bitten in that area. The tetra was moved to a tank with peaceful fish. What should I do?

are your water conditions ok? they could be a little stressed which ends up with added aggression. i have 6 of them in my 55 and they go through their little attack spells but i haven't had very much fin damage. they seem to mainly attack each other.

The tetra died about an hour later, after I found it.

Do to limited space, I had 4 serpaes including the one that died. Now I why you shouldn't just have 3 or 4 tetras.

After another tetra being slightly attacked and a soon to be pg platy being chased; I moved them to a 29 gallon and found the answer to the attacks:They needed more space.
