I was at the nashville zoo and they have some nice tanks there and they had some piranha that were huge (at least 15 years old), the keeper let me go behind scenes to look at the filtration then he fed them infront of me, dead fish that are gut loaded with nutrients. Anyways they had some huge leopronis (sorry bad spelling, the same ones as gms)9 and he said that in the wild they follow around some piranha and eat the stuff thats left over, and they do this in fish tanks too. Sorry felt like sharing.

That would have been pretty cool to have a "behind the senses" look at there filtration and feeding.

And here I thought I was the only one that tried / asked to see stuff like that at a zoo !

Leporinus are cool fish. I plan on making a big tank for a few in the near future. How big were the piranhas?
