I currently own a 5g, but really can not do nothing with it. I am thinking of replacing it with a 10g.
This is my current stocking wish list
2 Dwarf Gouramis(1 Honey, 1 Neon)
3 Diamond Tetras
1 Betta
GooD or Bad?

nope. As long as you have a HOB or canister filter its fine
What kind of filter?

That is an ok stock. Just keep in mind that once you get that 10 gallon set up you are more than likely going to want an even bigger tank. You might want to get something larger ( 29 gal +) and forget about the 10 gallon. Just an idea.

I have 6 tanks. 5g-38g. 1x5g 1x10 2x20g 1x29g 1x38g. I want to get rid of my 5g and replace it with a 10g.

In my experience, my betta really did not like my dwarf gourami and followed him around flaring at him all the time. I didn't have problems with nipping though. There was also a dwarf honey gourami that the betta left alone, but the honey was much shyer and less out in front. This was in a 65 gallon tank, so I can foresee the possibility of problems with dwarf gourami and a betta in a 10 gal.

yeah, the betta is chancy. Not only is there a risk that he will fight tank mates, but he could also experience stress just due to their presence.
Just a suggestion, but since it appears that MTS is already in full force, why not make the 5g a betta tank and then let the 10g be a gourami/tetra tank. You might even be able to stock a few more tetras and get some schooling behavior.

Some people have had problems with 2 male dwarf gouramis in a tank that small. If you are going to give it a shot, I would definately add them at the same time to prevent any territorial advantage.
I am sure they will duke it out to see who is the top gourami in the tank.

I have no more room for anymore tanks. 5g,10g,20g,29g + Bird Cage is in my Living room. 20g,38g in my bedroom. I want to get rid of the 5g and replace it with a 10g. I am not even sure I have room for a 10g, but I think I could squeeze it in were the 5g is if I move the food, Testkits ETC out of the way.
I also always wanted a LIzard. My local fish store sells Anoles at $7.99.
If I decide to go with the fish my setup will not work?

There is a chance it will work, in fact, a pretty good one (though this is no more than an educated guess). You would want to have contingency plans (it looks like you might have some room in other tanks if you needed to shift your stocking around).
The potential conflicts are:
-Tetra munching on betta's fins
-Gorami and betta fighting
-Goramis fighting eachother
The way to minimize the risk of the above occuring is to use lots of plants and other decoration including caves and hiding spots. This allows the fish to setup more firm territorial boundaries and would help avoid conflicts.
See this compatability chart [Only Registered Users Can See Links.]. Nothing is a no, but it recomends caution with this stocking.

Bettas are hit-and-miss in community tanks. Try it, but monitor his behavior very carfully for the first week. Let us know how it goes too.
