What excellent pics!!! I'm very impressed! Your pleco is so cute! I've been looking for one for a couple of months now...

...if I don't find one soon...I'll have to settle for a rubber-lipped.

Those closeups are great. Nice job. He probably just needed to settle in and work up an appetite!

Bristlenose are my favorite plecos.....great little eating machines! Maybe now that he knows the wafers are good you won't need to hide them in there for him, he will come out when they go in. Be cautious though that you don't overfeed wafers and keep him from cleaning up algae. Also, do you have some type of wood in there for him to rasp on? Bogwood is recommended for bristlies as a staple in their diet as it aids in there digestion.

Last night I had to do the same to my pleco in my wife's neon tetra tank.
Her just wouldn't emerge from his treasure chest hidey-hole and eat - I was getting really worried, as he didn't seem tov touch the other wafers.

So last night I broke a pellet into a small bit and shoved it right next to him using tongs.
It took 30 minutes, but eventually ho moved his mouth over it and then was furiously chewing away!

Which is good, but I don't wan't to have to "spoonfeed" him like this each time. I want him to come out, explore and find the pellets like any normal fish.
