has anyone kept the yellow and red variety of Neocaridina heteropoda (aka Yellow Shrimp and Red Cherry Shrimp) together? What do the offspring look like when they intermix?

(yes, I know it's not technically crossbreeding since they're just color variants of the same species, but you get the idea.)

You'll get brown, more naturally coloured, shrimp.

so I suppose with a mixed population, you'd lose the "purity" of the red and yellow lines after a few generations and pretty soon everybody would be brown.
