Thanks!! I was getting ready to give up!
I've been doing 20% wc's every few days. Can I cut it back to once a week now?
Also, is 10ppm nitrate considered normal or high. I should always be seeing some nitrates right?
BTW, thanks everyone for the help from the beginning! I've learned a lot from this board.
You are fine. Back of to moderate (30-50%) water changes weekly and add those fishies. Some people go with 25-30% weekly water changes, many others go with larger volumes. Larger volumes of water changes, depending on your stocking levels, will equate to happier fish.
Great work!

Finally! Wonder what took so long.
Be careful you do no major cleaning for some time or you will set it back but changing some water weekly now will be fine. Nice going!
Now get some fish in there before the bacteria dies off.
