hey guys and gals, my name is Rick as you may have guessed from my login,

I have had a fishtank before (about four years ago, i had 2 angelsfish, 2x 3spot gouramis, 2 silversharks and a small school of penguin fish) and was hearbroken when my mature fish Died after a major house move. well the tank has been taken out of retirement and is all washed up. im in the process of cycling the tank at the moment..

here it is on its second day

im running the tank at 30degrees celsius to try and promote the bacteria growth and have added aerobic bacteria to the water, theres plenty of ammonia in the tank.. so hopefully some fish will move in soon. also i have bought a plant- i dont know what it is of even if it was wise to put it in the tank so soon. can anyone tell what it is from the picture..

well thats it for now ...see ya

im thinking ill make this tan a comunity tank as i really liked my prevoius set up (fish wise) but it always looked a bit fake ..(you know fake plants and the rest of it) so i might do the same with this tank. however try and make it as natural looking as possible.

im from sydney juannie, and i think you are right about my plant.

anyways the sandstone is gone as it was making my ph levels unusually high and a few more plants were added. (damn i really got to remember to write down what plants im buying).

i also got a bit of driftwood to put in the tank, which i have to boil?..

also im looking for a few largish pebbles to create some interesting hiding places for the fish.. keep tuned for more pics :)
