I posted a previous thread regarding a new 6 gallon eclipse setup. I purchased two plants and planted them in the gravel about an inch or so and added Flourish for aquatic plants. The one plant is doing well that happens to be located near the heater and the other plant that is in the opposite corner located near the water upshoot to the filter is wilting after only 18 hours of being introduced to the new setup. I used distilled water and the light has not been on that much.
Why is the plant wilting? Due to no light or planted next to the water suction tube?
Any suggestions?
Much appreciated!

Most plants need 8-9 hours of light a day. So this could be the problem.
What kind of plants are they?

it is very hard to diagnose your problem with the limited information given.
What kind of plant is it.
What is your lighting.
How long is your photoperiod.
What type of flourish. Regular, excel, Tabs (some plants wilt under excel)
How much flourish are you adding.
I doubt that it is because it is near the water suction tube unless all of its leaves are stuck to the sides of it. I have plants next to my filter intake and they do fine.
Rereading your post. Lighting is a big issue. As RobbieG said you need to leave your light on for at least 8 to 9 hours.
I am sure that if you took one of your delicate house plants and left it in the closet it would start to wilt.

What type of plants? If it's wilting in 18 hours it means it was dying at the store or dried up in transit.
