hello i was wondering if someone got Glossostigma elatinoides http://freshaquarium.about.com/od/plantspecies/p/gelatinoides.htm , I have a 16 gallons with a coralife 2x14watts and co2. This is going to work to grow up this plant? I need some advices.

I haven't used it but from your link, I don't think you have enough lighting. If it's a t5HO fixture, it may work but I don't know.

Gloss is a nice tiny plant. More light and soft/acid water would be best. You could also use those standard screw in fluor. bulbs that they sell everywhere. 23watts would be enough becase of the higher intensity. they cost about $4 here in Can.

I have to agree with the above post.

Even at a combined 28w it only works out at 1.5wpg and the plants need alot more than that by the look of it.

It may take and grow a little but I doubt it would thrive!

You need significantly higher light output and preferably CO2 injection to grow glosso well. Lower lights tends to make glosso grow vertically if at all.
