Not the best match in the world as they prefer different water values.

do that. Cichlids from the great lakes are all a less than great idea to keep with South American cichlids.

I would look for something else from Central America (or some South American species like the pikes) as my first choice.

If you figure an adult frontosa is roughly a foot(maybe a little more), i wouldnt want anything much smaller than 75 gallons.
Hey i think if you get a big enough tank you can try breeding the frontosa's they are worth it and they are so cool. If you do i might be able to step you through when they get big enough and if you want you can sell the babies for a pretty decent amount of money or credits at your local fish store.

I take it you have bred Frontosas before?
i personally havent but know some that have and they were pretty good looking i try not to in my african tank because i dont want them starting a fight because of the other fish there mine seem very happy though maybe in the future i will get a tank after settling my arowana because he grows like crazy!

yea, i have never really had any luck breeding cichlids. I guess i havent tried that hard either, but it would be cool to do one day. What kind of arowana do you have? It is your avatar right?
same color as avatar but it is a silver and much smaller.
i have better chance of keeping breed southamerican cichlids. The other lakes i just don't have that extra space for the babies yet.
My salvanni's are trying to breed now.
my frontosa's are getting big
