I have a fancy betta he is so cool

Jeeves is his name, I read that bettas like warm water...I never knew that...?

I have him in with two mollies and an ""auto"" Pleco but he picks on him once in awhile.

Jeeves is a handsome guy! I suppose a betta could adapt to cooler temps but they seem to really like the high 70's to low 80's.

Its a 5 gallon tank so I never got a heater, but I will look into it on payday :) I don't even have a thermometer in there.
I don't normally like Bettas but when I seen those fins. WHO COULD RESIST :O)

Really? Where are you from?

I thought that was a lot for a fish LOL

edmonton, AB.

Superpet sells regular ones for 5$, but they have crazy nice show ones for 40-50$.

What i like about edmonton is all the oddball fish you can find here. You can get all the stingrays, sea horses, octopuses, and even zebra plecos (EXPENSIVE)

I think bettas have great personalities. They swim up to you and wag their tails when you look in the tank. I'm sure their probably just trying to get an extra betta bit but they sure seem to respond to people more than most fish.

Well that is way better than a good priced betta LOL

and here, i hate the way some stores treat bettas. One small store takes REALLY good care of them, and they have 200 cups lined downwards and theres a trickle filter for them. Very clean water.

However, superpets have 30 cups lined against the wall, but no filtration system. The bettas just lie on the gravel and sit there. one time, i found 8 pellets in each bettas cup, which was WAAAAYYY too much

Yeah we only have pets unlimited, not sure if you are familiar with them or not. They told a guy the other day to feed the betta as much as he can consume in 12 mins...RIDICULOUS
We have one other aquarium which is VERY GOOD

lol, all they can eat in 12 min. They literally eat themselves to death if given enough food. I feed mine 2-4 pellets every 2-4 days. that way, the betta isnt reliant on me for food and is surprised to get food
