Hey guys,

I have been trying these new 20w power saving lights you use for lighting your house. Anyway just added them to a normal bed side lamp, add on top of tank. So far all the tanks that they are on, everything has worked. The plants are growing well.

Right now I have them on a 5g 15g 30g 75g 83g and all the tanks are growing plants so well bare the Rift tank.

So I am wanting to know why? When I use to use these very expensive aquarium lights, which I have never seen grow the plants any were near as fast. The lights cost $5.00 NZ each.

Here is what they have on the box.
Switch energy saving lamp. Edison.
20 watt.

e27 6400k
220-240v 50-60Hz

made in China.

So that is all that they have on them. I know they last a long time. We have had them running in our house for nearly 1 year solid and still strong.
Also 2 lamps running them on my 83g has been going for 1 year as well normal fish light rotation.

So in short the plants grow better and fast, in comparison to the normal tubes I use to run. All were T5s each the right size for the tank they were used on. And the bet I could buy to. Yet they never did the same amount of work.

And our power bill is way way lower.:22:

So any clues. I know that there is not much info. But that is all the box had on it.
