All Glass versus Perfecto glass canopies

I planned to order my glass hood with other items being ordered but ThatPetPlace lists the Perfecto for a 20 gallon at 23 3/4 inches. Other sites lists the Perfecto at 23 1/8 inches .....same as All Glass canopies. That half an inch is the difference between fitting the tank and not fitting.

If you have the Perfecto glass canopy, has it fit your All Glass tank? I think this must be incorrect information at ThatPetPlace if the other sites list as 23 1/8. I have contacted them to see what they have to say.

Well I tried the Perfecto website to help you, but it is under construction and they don't have any information available on their products. I did however see two other websites with the canopy on sale that list the dimensions as 23 1/8".

I have to figure then that it's just not stated correctly on their site. It would stop a person from buying it with those dimensions. 23 3/4 would have to lay on top and not sit in the frame.

Agreed. Must just be incorrect information. I am sure they are interchangable with All-Glass, otherwise they'd be shooting themselves in the foot by making their canopies incompatible with their competition.

I have an AGA glass top on an AGA tank, if thats any help (probobly not). Do you want me to meausre it? Its 2 on a 55.

I know what the All Glass tops are......they're supposed to be the same as Profecto.....23 1/8. It was just on this one site I got thrown a curve ball but it was the site I wanted to order my light thru.

It drives me nuts to order!! One site has the light I need, another has the glass hoods, another has the NL fish food, one will have the veggie clips, another will have dechlorinator in large bottles, yadda, yadda, yadda! You have to pay shipping from 4 places to get what you need.

But don't faint dead away......I finally ordered a $%#)*%# light after 2 months. LOL

I'm pretty sure they are all standard. That 1/2 inch is probably from what they measure. I think the place with bigger measurements just took the specs from the top of a 20g tank. But don't take my word for it, I don't want to get hit with the wooden spoon if I'm wrong lol
