I have a 180 gallon tank with 15 tiger babrs,6 silver dollars,2 senegal bichirs,1 severum,1 jack dempsey,1 oscar, and 1 silver arowana. I have been considering adding a rainbow shark, but I'm not sure. My biggest concern is where I could grow one out if I get one. I have a 55 with a single angel, and a bunch of tetra, rasbora, and corydora.Would one work in the 55 until it is big enough to go in the 180 with the big boys? How fast do they grow?

Nope, they dont grow big enough and would be a snack. The tank is stocked enough.

I've got to agree. Due to their shape, they are likely to find their way into the mouth of one of the larger fish, and since they are bottom dwellers, even if it is full grown, I'd bet one of those Bichers would find it quite tasty.

Cool. Guess I won't be getting one then.

Thanks.
