if i get a black piranha what are the things i should put in the tank

Bogwood and perhaps a few plastic plants.

My friend has a setup with a quite a few plants and wood. He used these amazon tablets. Kinda a cool look. But if I remember he said it messed with the chemical balance in the tank for awhile.

Yeah. Wood will lower the pH but thats not all bad when keeping piranhas. The reason I suggested plastic plants is that they foten destroy plants when they grow larger.

Ford's water has a very high ph (well water) so having wood that lowers it would seem like the perfect decor should he get a piranha.

There are some great So. American freshwater fish that like a high ph. Some I have read about breed fairly easily with large water changes and raising the temp a little.
