I have 5 turquiose rainbows. Lately, they have been chasing each other more. Often, they get a yellowish color across the bridge of their nose and up the top when they are chasing. One is clearly more dominant than the others. I have added some more plants, so the less dominant ones can take refuge in the taller plants. It seems to shorten the chase a bit. They aren't constantly doing it, but sometimes, I guess they just get in the mood for it.

Is this normal, or are they stressing each other out?

That is normal display behavior. They are establishing dominance and showing off for the ladies.

If he has any ladies...

Do you know how many are males?

I don't really know how to tell if any are female. From what I've read, you won't know until they get bigger. Mine are maybe half grown, if that.

Thanks for the replies
