Rena Filstar xp3 Media to Use?

I have a 55g freshwater tank curious what to use as far as media goes since theres like 12 choices?:sconfused:

We all use different combos.lol
I like the biomax and rena stars that came with mine.I still have the three sponges in the bottom basket and I use a bunch of filter floss for extra polishing.
Just have lots of surface area for bacteria to grow.

I have a slightly different type of canister filter than you for my 55 gallon.

I use the sponges than came with the filter from the factory. In all of the media baskets, I have bio-max rings. Seams to work really well for me as my water is always good, 0 ammonia, 0 nitrite, and just less than 5 nitrate.
