View Full Version : Probably the last place you'd think to put some fish tanks

Hope it's not too distracting...

Marlin's Ballpark (http://sports.yahoo.com/mlb/blog/big_league_stew/post/New-Marlins-ballpark-features-two-giant-aquarium?urn=mlb,247335)

They did say it was too big for actual marlins which is kind of disappointing, but at least they're realistic about it.

Ok so the lexan glass won't break but..... the fish will just love the loud thumps from the balls hitting the tanks >.<

That looks like an accident waiting to happen and yeah, way to not think about the noise impact on the fish :scry:

Miami is building a new baseball stadium.

They want to put 2 huge SW tanks on either side of the home plate.
Not like there will be much sunshine getting to the tanks but the glass tappers alone will stress the fish out.At least its built from shatterproof glass.lol
How many balls will bounce off the tanks.
Its not the best plan I heard yet!I wonder how long they will be able to control algae and keep it stocked?

lol pretty cool NG

You have to wonder how they are going to handle the lighting tho - both artificial and natural

Not to mention how will all the SW inhabitants react to that much noise and glass tapping lol

Looks like a fish cooker to me. I hope they have one hell of a temp control system on there. "Fish Sticks! Get your Fish Sticks here!" :hmm3grin2orange:

So silly. Kinda distracting from the game, too. Just seems like a better option to have it in the lobby or the food court.

I Don't think it will actually be built. PETA will literally have a "FIELD DAY" with this idea (All puns intended)...rotfl

I second this suggestion!

Heck it would be pretty cool if they had one of their stadium restaurant/dinning rooms for the vips have several aquariums as a theme.

The Tampa Bay Rays have a ray tank in the outfield stands where people can feed and pet the rays.
