Right now I have an old hood with two 15 watt incandescent bulbs in it. Once I get a job the first to-buy on my list is a new light set-up. Considering the fact that it's a 10 gallon and 30 watts, the wattage isn't bad (it's actually pretty damn good, as far as I'm concerned), but I'm worried about the temperature, and constantly having to find these bulbs to replace them when they burn out.

Does anyone have a good brand referral for a florescent set-up that is cheap but trustworthy? Also, any suggestion on wattage?

I use CFLs I got at Walmart which come in daylight spectrum - works great for me.

I posted a review in the equipment section
