My angels have spawned probably 30 times now and each time I blamed the featherfin for eating all the eggs. Well, I moved him out of their tank, they spawned again last night and this morning every single egg is gone. They are eating the eggs! I know a time or two is normal but every time? Good thing I don't want babies, huh?

LOL...I'm sure your featherfin is releived too, that he's no longer a 'party of interest' in the missing eggs case...:hmm3grin2orange:

I should have known when he remained quiet and asked for his lawyer.

I should have known when he remained quiet and asked for his lawyer.
That would have made me think he was guilty!lol
Why did you move it if you didn't want fry?lol If I thought it was eating the eggs I would have left him in there for control.lol Watch the angels stop eating the eggs now!:hmm3grin2orange:

Because he was driving the angels nuts. Now he is driving the blood parrots nuts.

What about another featherfin?
I don't know if they would pay attention to one another or if they would team up and get real good at hassling the other fish.lol
Just a thought.I have never kept them.

I had two and gave one to my son because of the constant chasing with each other. They aren't as lovely-dovey as Upside Down catfish are and these guys are 7 inches long.

Poor featherfin, he was guilty until proven innocent by the unsuspected angle pair(blush)

Featherfins (and most mid-size Syno's for that matter) are best kept as either single specimens or in large groups to spread the aggression around. Most folks aren't interested in keeping a large group of featherfins in a suitably large tank, but the few that do occaisonally have fry turn up.
