Guppy Fry!

this morning i awoke to 3 baby guppies in my breeding tank:) however i have left the female in there because she is still fat and has a very dark gravid spot, the first babies probably were born about 12 hours ago, is it normal for her to still be fat, is there more to come or is she just fat now lol

depending on how old she is id say there are lots more fry to come!!! They dont all come ou at once. congratulations :19:!!!

If it's one of her first batches, she could be having difficulties getting them all out in a decent time.

If she's older, there could just be a lot to come.

But meh. That fatness could just be from her eating them as they come out. :shrug: I only ever leave females in the middle of giving birth in the tank for twelve hours after they start. (But usually two or three days alone in the tank before that so she's comfortable.)

yeh i think it might be she is having trouble there looks to be some more still in there really dark gravid spot and she still looks like she did before having fry the fry have plenty of hiding places and i havnt lost any of the 3 i have actually seen so i think i migght leave her for a bit longer and see what happens
