So, as an explosion of cory fry starts appearing in my little fry tank, I've got a bit of a question for the assembled...this is the first time the eggs have hatched, so I didn't really think about it before, but how many eggs does a single female lay at a time? I've been getting probably about a hundred eggs pretty regularly every two weeks for a couple of months now, and it seems like a lot for one cory to be producing. There's eight of them in the tank, and a couple of them have that pudgy look to them, could they actually be synched in their egg cycle or whatever?

Can you imagine what the males must feel like, with the females all hormonal at the same time? :hmm3grin2orange:

No idea about breeding but if you get juve corys that you want to move on let me know! I have bronze corys and trying to find a supply of good ones from a LFS is tough.

Good luck with them!

Well, it looks like out of this batch we've got somewhere between 10 and 20 that made it to hatching. We'll see how many of them make it from here on out, but if form follows function I'm going to have more eggs in a week or two anyway.
