Contest: Best fish/aquarium related haiku
Purse; 15,000 points
Rules: Its your job to come up with the BEST fish or aquarium related haiku.
The scheme is 5 sylables in the first line 7 in the second, and 5 in the last. Here is an example:
In the glass ocean
The pink condy gently sways
"feed me shrimp" he says
Only one haiku per person for the entire contest, so make your only one good. NO PLAGARISM! I will close the contest on saturday.

Fish swim through water,
But much less well on my plate.
I prefer burgers.

Both of the entered ones are good poems, but are not haikus. Re count your syllables.

sorry all...I used to partake in haiku comps on another forum and got carried away.
Please only accept the first one (the haiku of frustration).

Im extending the contest for another 5 or so hours for lack of entries.
I don't think people understand how to count syllables.
I am a Speech-Language Pathologist, so it comes naturally to me!
...anyone? Come on, its not that hard!
Drum, maybe Haiku is easy for us because, as percussionists, we can feel the beat of the words?

there was a tie. It was between rue and gm72. But since ive won the daily lottery 4 days in a row, i gave them each 15,000, instead of splitting it and giveng them 7,500.

Well done both,
but I'd hate to have to say Rue's haiku 10 times really quickly...a powerful tongue twister!
