Python water changing system

Anyone ever use one of these. Is it worth the money or is it cheaper to build yourself?

Hubby has one, he loves it because it saves him alot of walking back and forth doing water changes on a 75 and 90 gal tank. He also uses straight tap water, which I don't, so it is just a pain for me to set up just to vac the gravel. I was hoping to get better suction out of it on my bottom tank, but it isn't any better than gravity so I don't bother with it.
