Nothing? Unless you're breeding there's really nothing to do. Males will make nests quite often. Don't stress it. :)

Have you a female Betta? You can't have babies without a mama.

Breeding bettas is a HUGE undertaking. Bettas can have up to 100 babies. When they get older they are going to need separated, which means a lot of jars, divided tanks, or any other thing that can hold water. You will have to do daily or every other day water changes on all of those containers to keep the fish healthy. There's also the fact that a male and female, if incompatible, can do some serious damage to each other. I would just enjoy him as a pet and not try to breed him, honestly he'll be fine without a female.
