I've had a few before. Very nice fish. They can grow to be a few inches, so you should have at least a 55g tank. They are not as aggressive as other Malawi Cichlids and they prefer hard, alkaline water with a high pH (8.0+). They need some places to hide, such as caves and rocks and only mix them with other semi-aggressive Malawis.

ive had a few too. they were pretty docile, and kept to themselves.

Good tankmates are red zebras, and powder blues/blue socolofis.

if i can get conditions correct i think the powder blues and electric yellows will be my first choice.

all i need is for the tank to hurry up and be deliveredthumbs2:

use pure ammonia. It has no harmful additives, the best way to cycle
