Betta Fin "curl"

So my betta started to have curled fins about a couple months after I got him, that was about 6 months ago. It never got better. The fins are not shorter or discolored, just curled up, some look like a crochet bend, others look like spiral ribbon, others like fractures, just a bend here and there.

I got him treated with antibiotics, thinking is fin rot but it didn't do a thing.

He had about 3 episodes of being sick, first one around the time his fins started to look funny. NOw he's eating and acting ok but I am just wandering what is that.

Sorry for the very late reply. I just saw the title which caught my eye. My older betta has kind of curled and stiff looking fins. They are not the beautiful flowing fins that he had when I got him. About a year ago he was really sick and had fin rot at the same time. He recovered but when his fins started to regrow they were never the same.

I don't really know but maybe its just something that happens when they live through being sick.
