I've been meaning to ask you... how is it that your backgrounds are always so utterly black? It's like your fish are floating in space. How do you accomplish that?

I have black back grounds on the tanks. I use a flash unit or two on top of the tanks. When the flashes fire they create a cone of light, like a spot light on the subject. Every thing not in the light looks black.
Thanks for the kind words guys.

Yes sure beats my pics of an oscar stunned by a cheezy flash reflecting on the front glass blocking half the view of my stick up Amazon background.

Very cool rich. As always I love the shots of the rams. The first shot of the Cory I really love too, looks like it has a little mustache :hmm3grin2orange:
The shot of the gourami really captures its beauty really well too.
Top notch. :goldfish:
Rich... I need a rubber stamp reply for your photos... and it reads...
"Freek'n Awesome"....
More great pics Rich!
