I have a 30 gal long tank with a clown pleco among a few other fish. The clown loves to go to town on my 18" piece of driftwood but he is not an algae eater by any means. Love the little guy to death and can't part with him. I would like to add a rubber lip/bulldog pleco. I'm afraid the clown will be territorial and perhaps harm the bulldog.

Can I keep these two together?

I don't think think the 2 plecos will be a problem together. I have a friend that had a clown pleco in a 37 gallon, then later added a rubber pleco and they were fine together. I have 2 rubbers together and they are fine... But all fish are different so you never know, but I think it should work.

These two look like they get along fine:

I don't see a problem with keeping the two together.

They should get along fine. They're both relatively small plecos, so they should have enough room in your tank. Also, the bulldog will have more of a tendency to go up on the glass, which the clowns are less likely to do.
