I believe this is an amazon sword plant (though tbh it is the one plant I can't seem to find the actual tag from -.-)

In this tank I have bleheri swords, crypts, and one anubias in addition to this plant. Aside from some crypt melt when I put in the crypts) this is the one plant that has been troubling me, because while all my plants are growing and putting off new growth, this one has very pale/yellow/thin new growth. Both the offshoots and the new growth on the original plant look poorly to me.

From looking at various posts I would think that its maybe Iron deficient, but wasn't sure since it was just the one plant that seems to be bothered.

I'd appreciate any thoughts from those more experienced!

Additionally... I assume the "shoots" at that size are sufficient they should be planted, or perhaps snipped from the mother plant and planted?

Yep looks like a deficiency to me, my guess would be that it is Iron as it is discoloration of new growth. I would get some root tabs in the substrate around the plants and start a weekly schedule of dosing a general plant fertilizer like Flourish. :22:

Sounds good to me, I'd do the same thing :22: .

Thanks guys! I'll put Iron supplements on my next fish store shopping list!

I have been using Flourish, but not as frequently as scheduled so I could be more faithful with that I'm sure. :)
