Start picking the snails out when you see them and feed less.
Place a piece of lettuce on the bottom for the night and gently remove it the morning. You will get quite a few that way.
Sharkman here has some Assassin snails for sale that will eat them. When they are gone you can feed them algae and veggies.

Welcome to my world! I put down raw pieces of cucumbers I stick with a fork so it will sink and the snail flock to it. Drop it down at night and retrieve it in the morning. It should have plenty of snails on it. You can also put down algae pellets and they will do the same thing.

I trap, siphon, smash and grab nearly everyday. Too much feeding and they will multiple worse than rabbits.

Assassin snails will eat them. Next time make sure you do a snail dip on the plants to avoid introducing snails.

I agree its probably best to just start the removal process and keep on it until you are happy with the numbers. Be careful not to overfeed, its easy to do in a shrimp tank.

Just as an FYI, Assassins can eat some species of shrimp. They wont always, but it has been reported. Cherry shrimp size shrimp specifically.

I keep 3 assassins in my RCS tank. The shrimp are much faster than the snails. If a snail is faster than one of my shrimp that shrimp deserves to be eaten...survival of the fittest and all.

Assassins are great for this! I had a tank that was INFESTED with snails. And bear in mind, I like a few snails in my tank, keeps it natural, but the population absolutely exploded (hey, it's hard vacuuming gravel in a heavily planted overgrown tank!(blush) ). After 2 assassins were introduced into the tank the population has dropped dramatically, it's been 2 weeks, snail population down to half, in another couple of weeks I'll have a free tank. 2 assassins did this in a 20 gallon long, heavily planted tank. I think the snails in my other tanks are shaking in fear. I'm going to build a statue to these little guys.........maybe petition for a national assassin snail holiday!
